I just recieved an invitation from a friend that I have not seen in a long while, I recieved it on Monday and the wedding is Sat. Is it Ok to just give cash?Would $50.00 be a good amount???? Just remember when you give cash they know how much you spent!! Typically at the shower is where the bride receives all the gifts, but at the wedding, cash is a bit more standard. Especially if the newlyweds had something expensive in mind they were hoping to buy with the cash from the wedding. If that is not the case they can always take the cash you give and buy gifts that were on their registry with it. 75% of our wedding gifts was cash and we had no problem with it. Go for it!
