Don't get her a gift that would tick her off. That's not nice. Get her a giftcard to a neutral store that everyone likes. Pack it up with some cookies or something like that. Being polite is free and God will bless you for it.

Why even go that route? Just get her something she will have to use, like a baby medical kit, they are inexpensive and she will use it well into her child's toddler years. Everytime she uses it she may think of you and she may even start to be nicer to you? (or not I'm just saying). I always give those as gifts and people still thank me for them years later.

Make it a gift that everyone will oooohhhh and aaaahhhh about when she opens it.....If the baby is going to be a girl get the cutest little dress you have ever seen little frilly one with cute socks to match...and it will make her envious you are getting all the attention for getting that beautiful little dress ... and get a picture frame for her to take a picture of the baby in the dress for later..or If it is a little boy....a little adorable Osh Kosh denim overall set with little hat to match that everyone will think is sooooo cute and have to go on and on about...with a little pair of baby cowboy boots.....and the picture frame thing again for the picture with the outfit on for later framing...that way you are getting attention away from her for now and in the future picture...

The noisy gift idea 2 others suggested is perfect. Looks harmless... until it comes time for the child to play it. It is the ultimate torture gift for the new parent. Plus, you are still providing a nice interactive toy for the baby.

Get a personalized mug or a monogrammed blanket that has the family name on it. For example, "Baby <last name>".Get a personalized baby T-shirt and have printed on the shirt the family name, e.g. "I am a <last name> through and through". Or have printed on the baby T-shirt "I love my Dad!" or "My Dad is the best!" or "I have the best Dad in the world!"
