I have made little care packages for the mom. Sure, they gots lots of baby stuff, but moms needs stuff too! I included some Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion for stretch marks, some nice smelly stuff from Bath & Body Works, new nail polish and remover, maybe some free babysitting coupons for future use, some chocolate goodies. Just stuff she could pamper herself with when she got a minute!

Gosh there are so many things that you could get for a baby shower that are not to pricy.Baby bottles, binkies, baby clothes, diapers, bathing cloths, baby blankets, toys, stuffed animals, baby mittens, baby socks, baby bag, baby shampoo, bathing soap, nail clippers for babies, baby oil, destine. I better stop or I could go on and on. Good luck and I hope I gave you some idea's

You could make her a baby sling to carry her baby in! You could get a very cute girl or boy pattern. Or if she doesn't know the sex, you can get a neutral pattern! Heres a link on how to make one. http://www.mammasmilk.com/pages/makeyourown.phpThe slings really help a lot, and baby can feel safe and comforted in there. Also can be used while breastfeeding.

i just made some slings for myself and i will probably start making those for friends who are in the family way. but i have also made diaper cakes which are super easy and cute. they can really be inexpensive and you can jazz them up with extra goodies like bottles, onezies, socks and shoes.

You could make a basket full of all the stuff that people usually forget as gifts.I made a basket for my best friend with all of the child safety items in it (there's tons!), along with one personal gift. Something that YOU the gift-giver really likes, or is YOUR style. B/c that way they always remember its from you.As the days go on, Mommy uses everything but often forget who its from, or hardly cares. So put a little bit of you in the gift.
