I have a gift card Issued by Bank of America. It was never used and expired May 2008. They have said that when it expires it is closed out and the money on it goes to a close out fee.

That last thing you said means you don't get the money you didn't use back.

You need to take that up with Jesus. He is the only one that can get you that money back.

You don't get the money. "...when it expires it is closed out and the money on it goes to a close out fee..."End of story.-Stuart

It depends on your state. In CA, it's not legal for gift cards to expire. The company can charge a minimal processing fee but it can never expire. Call the number on the back of the card. You may find it's hasn't really expired.

Unfortunately you will never see a dime. Always use your cards before they expire.Just think, they did not need to put an expiration on it. Why do it then? So people forget they have a card and get nothing.
