I would really like to make a gift for my husband, together with my kids, for fathers day. My son is 4 years old, and I have no idea what I can make. I have done the paintings collages in the past as presents, and i'd like a new idea... any thoughts?I'm in australia, so fathers day isn't until the start of September

Consider making him a doorknob hanger out of paper or cardboard; a picture frame from a blank CD case; a business card holder from blank cassette case; or some combination thereof.

get some clay, crayola clay works fine. roll it out into a flat shape, about an inch thick. (white works best) cut the shape into a heart with a cookie cutter, or just leave it in a circle. then have your son put his hand in the clay with his fingers spread out, until it puts his handprint in the clay. (make sure the clay is big enough for his whole hand). then have your son write his name (if he can write yet) or just use a colored permanent marker and write his name under his handprint, and write the year 2008, or his age. im 13, and i did this for my dad when i was 6 or 7, and he really liked it. its something for u and ur husband to use to remember ur some when he was little. i hope i helped!! How about making him a scrapebook of things that means somethingto your family like mementos of when you started you family to the present time. Also, your child can help you by drawing and coloringsome pictures for it. Or what about making him something where hecould keep his treasures in like a jewelry box, a pencil box so he canfind his pens and pencils, or even a decorated glass with some splitspeas glued to it and then spray paint it a pretty color of your choice.
