I am not sure if there is any cultural significance to gifting a saree. Can a Saree be a birthday gift ?

A Saree can be given as a gift. It can represent a gift with a cultural flair as your giving her something that is apart of her Indian heritage. It's a unique and lovely gift.

do ensure to check if the colour chosen is ok as white is used for mourning and red for a bride but I'm not sure if any other does but I'm sure if you ask in the shop they will guide you...............also having chatted over something similar with a friend do haggle in the shop as it's the norm
