Borrow a nice camera for the wedding day. take tons of pictures. then, make the couple a nice scrapbook of their special day. You could include a poem or some other personal touch.

How about a money tree? Tie dollar bills to a potted tree, then you sort of have two gifts.

are they not registered anywhere? Usually the best thing to do is get something off the registry. Since a gift is optional and not required at any wedding I'm sure they will appreciate anyhting you can do. If they are that close I am sure they know you are not loaded and won't be expecting a new car or something from you.I also like the scrap book idea. I did one ofr my parents 25th anniversary and it cost me about $30 for all the supplies. but it takes a LOT of yours time to do. I do them everytime I travel and those ones usually cost about $50 - $100 and take me about 85 hours to complete. So it really depends on how much effort and money you want to put in them. (and yes the $30 ones can look as nice as the $100 ones if you know what you're doing)GOod luck. I'm sure they'll love whatever you get them

I also like the scrap book idea, but it'll take a lot of time, remember that!Your framed poem idea is beautiful also, they hang that anywhere in their house and it'll mean something to them. You can also go to like Micheals or any store that sells pictures and buy them a framed picture for their house if you know their house room colors. Even if not, a nice framed picture is beautiful for decorating a new home. You can even take the picture yourself and get it framed, even more creative.

You could donate money to charity in their name -- they will only know that you donated and won't know how much. You can find donations at this site for as little as $10 (check out the share of trees and the share of rabbits. http://www.heifer.org/site/c.edJRKQNiFiG/b.2698711/ You can print the gift card right off your computer.Another thought is to go to one of those paint your own pottery places and paint a vase (or something else) for them -- it would probably cost you about $25. If that is still too much, then maybe you could put together a recipe book for them with easy recipes for newlyweds (you could include some of their favorites if you know them well). Hope this helps.

How much time do you have to make this gift? If you've got any artistic experience, maybe you can make a painting, or if you know how to cross stitch you can do a small wedding record that you can get framed. Other ideas.... you could do something like make a gift certificate for them to have you cook dinner for them the day they're getting back from their honeymoon, and you can decorate their dining room and make it all romantic and stuff.... If you have access to pictures of the two of them togther throughout their relationship, you could make a picture movie (slideshow on DVD) with music that documents their relationship. There are several computer programs that you can get to do this, some are shareware or freeware.
