My husband.... he is the greatest gift I have ever been given. We didnt have a wedding or reception, we got married in the courthouse by the judge. It was his third marriage and my second. We already had everything we needed for our house, so we didnt need any gifts. His parents gave us money and we used that for a romantic dinner after we got married.

My in laws bought me a beautiful set of " Heritage Hall " china service for twelve from Sears , they made sure I had every extra serving dishes, teapot, gravy dish.etc... and all the added extras, that was back in 1977 and I still have the whole set and I use it for special occasions, besides being pretty much an antique set, it still has sentimental value , especially since they took the time to find out and were thoughtful enough to find out what I really liked and needed, that meant alot to me, and someday that set will be passed down to my sons .

My good friend and her hubby played for the city symphony so I asked her to recommend someone to play the piano at my wedding. She did, and when I asked her how much to pay she said "Music is the most meaningful thing in our lives so we would like to give you what means the most to us".

My husband and I had a beautiful, though simple wedding invitation that was all white. One of our dear friends painstakingly painted all the details (doves, bells, church, etc.) and framed it. It has been treasured for many, many years.
