I have a friend living in Australia. I want to make this candy basket gift and send it to him. I don't know anything with what can be sent out of the states and what can't. Am I allowed to do this? Also, if I am allowed, how will I keep the candies from melting and/or ruining? And is it expensive?

It's very expensive to ship a gift basket to Australia. We ship in the USA only( for that very reason).Your best bet is to find a shop online in Australia and order it through them. Then you don't have to worry about spoilage and the legalities.

First of all, don't send candies in hot weather. Wait until it is cooler in the Fall. Take it to a UPS Store in your area, and they will know how to pack it for you, and let them do it. Then, they will ship the package for a fee. Good luck!
