What is a creative and non-registry gift other than cash that you have received for your wedding. I want to give something practical but unique. Fine china, crystal, bath towel, or kitchen appliances seem kind of boring. Note: I don't want to give anything sex related, just a nice awesome gift.

A complete set of Henckels kitchen knives: two carving knives, a boning knife, a carving fork, a bread-saw and a butchering knife. The generous donor charged me a penny for the present, to get around the "rule" that one never "gives" knives. I thank him nearly daily for this amazingly practical and generous gift. Henckels are top quality and last for ever, take a lovely edge, and are perfectly balanced.

We got a wii from the best man and his wife, who was one of my bridesmaid. I think that was probably the best gift. Oh, other than my gorgeous cake that my cousin made.

A basket of all the must have's for our trip to Mexico. It included: Large coffee travel mugs for the bar at the all inclusive, sun screen, bug spray, bandaids, underwater camera, anti-diarreah meds, ibuprofen, anti nausea pills, beach towels, band-aids, kleenex, toothpaste/toothbrushes...all the things you need. It was great and incredibly practical!

we love to taste and drink wine, and we got this set that has a wine bottle opener, pouring spout, etc. in it. the opener makes it ultra-easy to open wine. i can't open bottles with a regular opener and my husband always breaks the cork, but this device is awesome!she got it at bed, bath, and beyond for about $30, so with all the pieces in the set, it was a great gift for wine lovers.

Good Question. Something personal or really practical. We got a personalized blanket and vase. The site below has some great ideas. We also got some items from Pampered Chef that we use everyday that we didn't register for.

A cordless vacuum! I'm strange, I know but 90% of my house is tile and this is a cordless vac for tiled and hardwood floors. I LOVE it! No cord to get in the way....it's an Electrolux--I've seen it at Best Buy.

I didn't receive one of these but I wish I had. I think they are beautiful and if I had one I would display it. Personalized wedding afghans. THere are lots of beautiful styles, so you could find a design that the couple would like and then have it embroidered with their names, date or other information you might like. Here is a link to a site that has alot & will embroider them with the info you want:http://www.personalizedpresents.com/personalized-wedding-blankets-afghans-and-quilts.htmlANother idea I like is a Brides Ornament Collection - if the couple will have a Christmas tree I think this is a very unique and thoughtful gift, that will bring back memories every year. Here is a link to some:http://www.personalizedpresents.com/personalized-brides-ornament-collection.html
