| So, I'm meeting my boyfriends family in December. I've been with him for four years. I know, it's a long time to wait to meet the 'rents, but since he's in the Army and I in college in a different state, this is the first chance either of us has had to get to where his family lives together. I'm nervous about making a good impression. I'm wondering if, since it will be around Christmas, I should bring gifts? If so, should a bring something for the household, like wine, or individual gifts for each person? It is his mother, step-father, and 16 year old sister. I'm just nervous. I don't want them to think I'm a complete failure. I really want them to ADORE me! |

| bring a household gift and be sweet just try and be yourself you shouldn't really worry about it since it is soo far away but just be calm and don't get to worked up over this type of thing |

| You have no control over whether or not they will adore you. Just be yourself! Since their son obviously adores you, it is likely they also will have the same good taste!Do take a gift for the whole family to enjoy. A holiday basket with fruit, cheese, crackers and a nice bottle of wine would be a classy gift. |

| The best advice i can give u is to just be yourself. You are obviously good enough for ur boyfriend so u shud b good enough for his family.Stop worrying about how they will percieve you, I think you are trying too hard.Why would they think you are a complete failure anyway?As for the presents get some ideas from your boyfriend about what his family would like.Don't be nervous you will be fine and if they don't like you then thats their problem not yours. You are dating your boyfriend, not his family.Good luck - hope it goes ok |
