| I've been stressing out about what to get my groomsmen for a gift, i don't want the traditional money clip, cuff links, golf, wine, etc. so i thought i would try and find something different for each which isn't easy either but i had some ideas but everybody i talked to said they should all be the same. So i was thinking about a mag lite set, it's a AA battery engravable mag lite that comes in a box with a nice leather man knife, my price range is about $40 a person and that fits but my fiance thinks that's a horrible idea, i know that myself personally would love something like that because mag lites are great and come in handy, what do you guys think and do you have any suggestions? |

| Mag lites are OK but not great, but I don't know your groomsmen, obviously. Not my cup of tea, anyways.Maybe really nice engraved pocketknives? Weaponry is good, but I don't think "usefulness" is a requirement for a gift. My groomsmen were all more or less "car guys," so I got 'em all a nice scale model car about in that same price range.Don't do gift cards -- that's cheesy at best. |

| i just got married and my husband and i had the same problem. after MANY discussions i told him, he would know better than i would what kind of gifts a guy would want. my husband ended up picking personalized golf towels and they were a big hit. just an idea! |

| I would say that if you think your groomsmen will use the gift then it is a great idea. And as for different gifts for each guy, I think that is great too. However, in many cases time issues make one type of gift for each groomsmen easier and less stressful. I found this page which talks about travel bags, bar signs, concert tickets, sports gifts, etc... some are traditional and others unique. Worth a look. http://www.giftideacenter.com/Occassion/Wedding/groomsmens_gifts.php |
