| Honestly, you're not going to like this, but what was off the registry.Other creative items were appreciated, but taken back. Those that didn't have reciepts were quite difficult, because we simply don't have room for those things, we coudn't take it back, and we really needed what was off the registry. I promise you- when she opens her gift and sees something off the registry, she will jump for joy- i did! |

| Well, I was going to say money. But, I'll think of something else.Personally, I would like something I could use for my wedding. So, my toasting flutes, cake cutting set or maybe you can offer to pay for some of the decorations. Anything that can be used for the wedding would be a very memorable gift from a close friend. In years to come, she'll be able to remember how you helped make her day beautiful. That's really creative and not your typical picture frame or registry item. However, you'd have to plan ahead and let her know a few months before that you offering to buy her toasting flutes or cake cutting set as her wedding gift. |

| It depends on the type of budget you're working with. Something that the bride and groom can do together is always cute. I love the board game idea that someone above me had! Or you can give them passes to a local adventure park with wall climbing and go karts. Or you could book the a little weekend vacation (if you've got the cash) for a month or two after the honeymoon so they get another something special to look forward to. (Like going to a B&B in another town)Hope these ideas helped. |

| The only thing that I would reccomend if you isnsist on no money and not buying off regisrty is a photo album, frame, or some other way to display/store pictures since they will have lots of them after the wedding, or a gift critificate to their favorite restaurant. They will have lots of gifts, and you don't want to end up giving crap they won't use. I know you want to be personal and sweet, but really thinking practical is the best way to go here. Talk to her before the wedding and give her a heartfelt congratulations. |

| Im not married yet but one idea i loved when my friend got married was a scrap book of the wedding and photos before the wedding.For my brothers wedding I made a canvas, bold colours painted on the back ground and a poem scrawled in calligraphy over that called "on your wedding day" the main feature of the canvas was the family name in bold calligraphy in the centre, with their names above it and their wedding date signed below. Hard to describe but they loved it, it was inexpensive for me to make and it takes pride on their family photo wall. |

| The most creative gift I have ever seen was one my cousin got at her bridal shower. It was a basket that included items A-Z that can be used in her house. A was Ajax, B was the basket etc... |

| My maid of honor gave my husband and I a gift basket for our honey moon. She took a heart shaped basket and put a bottle of wine, wine glasses, chocolates, body lotions, candles, and a camera in it with a funny little note. I thought it was really sweet because it was completly diffrent from everything else we got and we loved it. |

| I agree, items off the registry and money were the most helpful. (Really, the hand-blown glass vase that is pretty and probably cost a fortune just doesn't fit in my house. It's in a box somewhere...)Home Depot gift certificates were great, too!A gift is meant for the recipient. It's not about what you want to give, it's about what they'd most appreciate getting. |

| a wedding night basket. You get a big pretty basket and fill it with champagne, flutes, little yummy treats etc. Depending on how well you know them you can spice the basket up some with lotions/oils, "toys", erotic reading material etc.... sexy nighty for her and what not.The basket of wine and nibbles will be appreciated during the wee hours of the morning when they're feeling a bit peckish. A friend gave us one when we got married and we thought it was very thoughtful and enjoyed it very much. Even if they're flying some place and can't take it with them they can have it for their first night as man and wife in their home. |

| Yes, I'm married. and the most creative/loved gift i received was a framed copy of my wedding invitation. My cousin framed it and decorated it with quilling (the craft of curling paper). The quilling paper she used was the same bright colors i used for my bridesmaid flowers. the color of the matte she used was the color of my bridesmaid dresses. And the frame was silver, the color of the ink on the wedding invitation. it was beautifully done and took her a while. Here is a website of lady who does this to give you an example of what it could look like. http://www.quillingbysandrawhite.com/id2.htmlOn another note, one of the things i now do is to take pictures at the wedding ceremony, and then print them out before the reception starts. You can buy a small photo album for a few dollars, put the pics in and place it at the head table. I've had LOTS of positive feedback about this from other brides. |

| My most favorite and most thoughtful gift I received wasn't even on the register. The best man and his wife gave us our invitation in a frame and then $100.00. I loved that! I was thinking, oh, I have to set aside an invitation for our bridal book, but they went ahead and did that, too sweet! |

| The best gift I've ever gotten or seen given is a beautiful photo blanket from VisionBedding.com. It was AMAZING! The person who made it took pictures of the bride and groom's engagement pictures, and pictures of the place they had met, and turned it into this gorgeous collage of pictures and memories and then put their name and wedding date on it. Not only was it very creative, but the pictures were crystal clear and it was perfect for their new condo that they were moving into! I am definitely giving one to a couple that is getting married next summer and probably to my mom for Christmas.The cool thing about the website it that you can create your own collage and then upload it and they'll put it right onto this super soft fabric and it looks just like the pictures! It's a great idea and they even offer lots of different products, not just photo blankets. It was definitely a "wow gift" that they really loved and I hope that it is the creative wedding gift you are looking for! Good Luck! |
