what would you do if...?

ive been friends with this girl since i had the chance to meet her through some friends when i was a junior in highschool. we dated that summer...and it ended quickly. she has a long road with her parents doing drugs and alcohol, divorced..depression. i really fell for her. id have to say she was my first love, the first person to bring out the best of me. were still friends to this day, we have a love hate relationship due to her being in a controlling relationship. shes now out of that relationship and trying to turn things around in her life, after her father has commited suicide. shes returning to my town (where she was) to graduate...and i wanted to do a little something for her. when ever her and i hang out its special. walk holding hands, cuddle in the movies, watch the sunset.. and she likes to write her own poems. so i was going to get a journal from barnes and nobles and i was going to put some time into it. i want to write something on each page...a poem or lyrics or such. anyone have any suggestions? i want this to be cute and something she will remember..maybe inspirational quotes? like...All men who have achieved great thingshave been great dreamers.Your talent is God's gift to you.What you do with it is your gift back to God.ORRRR should i make it more personal...but idk how to do this without it being all love and me wanting her...
