| www.basketsofgiftonline.comi just opened this site and i am having trouble getting sales. I'm getting lots of traffic but no sales. I was wondering if you saw these baskets would you buy them. |

| Nice site. Yes I would , but you need to get some real buying interest. I would not be too concerned just yet. Gift baskets can be very seasonal . Try to get some corporate clients who give gifts at the holidays. Contact the local companies in your area. Give a small sample basket to the Administrative support person( these are the people who usually place the orders) . I have seen this method done very successfully. If that is not in your budget and you want o get to a larger group of Admin people. Have them come to the lunch room at break time , bring bagels , donuts, etc . Have a display of samples , Give a sales pitch, Have them draw a ticket the winner gets to pick a basket. You need to get the word of mouth going! |

| Marketing is always the tough part. Your site looks good and there were a couple of things that I would buy. You will probably do better during the holiday season, so just give it some time. If you could negotiate a volume price, you might be able to get schools and organizations to sell them as fund raisers. Children, of course are the best salespeople! Don't give up, just hang in and I am sure you will be successful. Good luck. |

| The real market for gift baskets is corporate sales. They often buy in bulk from a trusted supplier. What you need to do is approach companies, either in person or via snail mail, and give gifts to the gatekeeper (usually a receptionist) and then to the actual person who does the buying. Buddy up to them so they will feel loyal to you. Find reasons for them to give baskets all year round.. |
