Hey guys, my girlfriend's dad is having his birthday in like 2months and i want to get him something, and I am giving myself 2 months to prepare. He is Asian, 55, does not do sports, doesn't really do gardening, doesn't really watch tv, just loathe around on sofa n be boring. Plays some chess, but doesn't really play (no one to play with anyways) . Too old to drink wineLast time i gave him a wine opener from brookstone, never used it. So....now i am just stuck. Any ideas? No cards plz.....he hates western restaurants, so ...gift certificate is a....meh......i need something that looks good , like an "Elegant Pen" (but he doesn't write a lot anyways, so no point), something that will work regardless of his hobbies n interest. (it is like people giving picture frames @ wedding)please help, and forgive my spelling and punctuation. Thanks!

either get him nothing at all, or just get a gift card somewhere in a fancy gift card tin. or a book. books are good.
