The couple goes to Macy's and selects gifts for their gift registry. Macy's provides the couple with cards to distribute to the guests to inform them of where they are registered. It's not etiquette to place the card in the wedding invitation, but it's ok to place it in a Bridal Shower invitation or list it on your wedding website. You can go to the Macy's website and click on their "Gift Registry" page:http://macys.weddingchannel.com/catalog/fds/macysDivisionalHome.action?cm_mmc=mcom-_-home-_-h1-_-none

Are you trying to register for gifts or purchase a gift for someone off of a registry? If you are registering for yourself, you can make an appointment at the store to go in and select gifts. You walk around the store and scan the things you want with a little scanner, and input how many. You'll give them the address you want the gifts sent to. The list automatically goes online so your guests can search it. You can also create a registry online by going to macys.com, select "Wedding Registry" at the top right, and then go to "Create." It will walk you through the whole process:https://macys-reg.weddingchannel.com/macys/create/display.action?linkUID=128&prevUID=8003If you are trying to buy a gift for someone, you can go in the store and a sales associate will print a registry and help you find something from it in your price range. But you can also go online to macys.com, select "Wedding Registry" at the top right, and enter the bride or groom's name under "Find."http://macys.weddingchannel.com/catalog/fds/macysDivisionalHome.action?cm_mmc=mcom-_-home-_-h1-_-noneThis will bring up their list. As you look at the items, you will see that some have an empty space under "Purchase" and some say "completed." Completed means that someone has already purchased that item for the couple. So look through the rest of the items and find something you want in your price range, enter the quantity you want to buy for them in the empty space under "purchase" (there is a column on the list that tells you how many of that item the couple wants) and then select the red "add to bag" button. From there, it's like any online purchase - you'll enter your payment info and you can choose to have the gift shipped to you or directly to the couple (the website will have their address on file, you don't need to put it in). You'll get a confirmation in your email, and you're all done!
