| The denial letter states:Please provide any specific plans for marriage made prior to 8/26/08. Examples of such plans could include, but is not limited to, booking a marriage venue, a guest list, plans for a wedding invitation card, a gift registry, an appointment with a priest or a court registrar, a photographer, a DJ, etc...How can we make plans for a wedding in America until the fiancee has been given a visa to come over? What can we do now if the date has passed for submittion of proof for these plans...we havent made any.. |

| Since fiances must marry within 90 days of the K-1 visa holder's arrival in the US, it is reasonable to expect that arrangements for the marriage might be well underway before the visa is issued: in the US, most marriages are planned many months in advance. If you have made no plans, the case will certainly appear suspicious. If the deadline to submit proof has passed without response, the visa will probably not be issued. |

| You can make initial reservations on your wedding venues and reception. Just have an agreement that there could be changes on dates.Wedding organizers are open to that esp if it is still months away. You can have an initial few pieces of wedding invitation printed out.You don't have to send them out yet if it's not really what you intend to use.You can also apply for marriage license since it is normally valid for 6 months. |
