Currently, for people in the Metro Manila, what do you think are my options as Christmas gifts for kids. Please be specific, the gifts will be for boys & girls ages 8, 10, 15 & one in their 20s.How much do you think is a reasonably priced gift? And how much is too much?Gifts are for middle class & below middle class kids.

for boys ages 8-10: action figures (batman, spider man), pokemon cards, tech deck(small skateboards) t-shirts with cool anime characters, or if your budget allows it, a small a remote controlled helicopter would do nicely.for girls ages 8-10: dolls still work (bratz, disney highschool musical dolls), doll houseboys and girls 15 - 20's: perfume, clothes, accessories, bags, mp3 players (they are very conscious with their appearance at this stage and they usually like branded stuff)For me, 8-10 will be around P500 (roughly$10-11), and 15-20 will be around P1000 ($22-23) It really depends on your budget. There is always a lot of toys or great stuff you can buy around Christmas time.

You should also look into the financial means of the parents when giving something to children. Chances are any toy that you think of giving would no longer appeal to them if the parents provided them already. Some amount of research and emphathy must be expended first to prepare your wallet and make the most out of your gift. I am sure if the kids come from a depressed area, they would be glad to get a 20 dollar gift but for a Forbes home-10 year old occupant, that may be a source of disappointment. The point is obvious, put yourself in their shoes, ask yourself if you would scream for joy with the gift.

Children's books. They don't cost as much as before. They can share these with their friends. We need them to grow up intelligent and educated so they would have the capacity to elect better leaders, not some actors or some they think look like actors (GMA who got elected because she looks like nora)

i prefer to give them those that are useful like pens, notepads or other school thingys. books are also a must! but if you can afford more expensive ones then go for clothes like blouses for girls and polo shirts for guys.
