| I'm wondering if it's possible to activate Walmart(or any) giftcards from home..You see,I've bought a gift card a day or two back,but it wasn't properly activated..I need to know if I can activate it from home,instead of wasting more time(and probly money) at the store.. |

| Well, if you have money in the card, there is a phone number you can call in the back of the card to activate it. You need the store to put money in it or else activating it will be pointless. |

| When you go to use the gift card that isn't 'properly' activated - just show the retailer your receipt from when you purchased the gift card and it will all work out................... |

| Unfortunately they need to be activated at the store for security reasons. |

| No you cannot because their registers read the magnetic strip on the back and every store code is different. You need to take your receipt and card back to the store and it will not be a problem. |

| There is usually a number to call on the back of the card and after you call,you put in the PIN of the card and it should be activated after that. |

| The card is activated once rang up, so if it wasn't activated correctly it wouldn't be on your reciept and you wouldn't have paid for it.Hmmm.... are you sure the card didn't jump into your pocket hoping to be activated from home? lol.... |

| If you actually purchased the card, then go back to the store with the receipt & they'll activate it. If you ripped it off, then you're out of luck. |
