| It means that you can't buy a gift card. Say the coupon is for 20% off:You cannot use the coupon to buy a $100 gift card for $80. But you can use the coupon to buy a $100 jacket for $80 and you can pay for it with the gift card. |

| The best people to ask would be them tomorrow.When you say coupon I am assuming it is a money off coupon. If so I would think that you could not take the coupon and buy a gift card.Say you have a $2.00 coupon and you wanted to buy a $10.00 gift card. They are not going to let you buy a $10.00 gift card for $8.00 by using your coupon. Hope this is what your looking for. |

| means you can't pay with a gift card & use the coupon.it's done b/c stores make no $$ on a gift card until it's redeemed.so they want to get as much of your $$ as they can. |

| All it means is that you can't use it to buy a giftcard. You can still make purchases with a gift card. |
