Does Target accept gift cards as payment on a credit account?

I have some Target gift cards and was wondering if they could be used in the store to pay some of the balance on a Target redcard (non VISA). I know Kohls accepts this as long as it's paid in the store... does anyone know if Target does as well? Thanks.
