|
|
| I am attending an engagement ceremony for a Muslim Indian couple in the United States. They will later get married in India, and I will not be attending. What is the etiquette for gifts? Should I bring a gift to the engagement ceremony, or should I wait to give them a gift at or after the time of their wedding? Thank you. |

| If there is a wedding shower that you are invited to, then it is appropriate to give gifts at the shower. Otherwise, mail them to the house. Do not show up at the ceremony with gifts.I am not sure of what an engagement ceremony is, but it may be like a shower. I think you should contact whoever it is (bride or groom) that you are attending for, and tell them you're uncertain -- ask them what is appropriate custom. |
