| I am having a private ceremony in another state. I may have a pre-party (bachlorette party before hand) I was not planning on registering since we will have a private ceremony. I am planning on having a reception when we return within 2 months. Is that when I should register for gifts just in case after the ceremony but before the reception??? or before the party just in case???? |

| I would register before the wedding. Registry information is kept online for 6 months to a year after the wedding, so if your friends want to get you something for the reception you're going to have, the information will still be there. Congrats! |

| I would register before the party. That way if somebody does want to buy you a gift you get something that you want. Also, you never know who might throw you a surprise bridal shower. Most places keep your registry up and valid for a year, and so it does not hurt to register early. Congratulations!!! |

| I would register before the wedding since it gets complicated. Sometimes items are discontinued. It takes time to do and even though it is private ceremony there will be a few people asking if you are registered even before your wedding. ( Unless you have it all selected and all you have to do is click it into computer) |

| NOW! The great thing about registering is do not be shy and vary the price range select things that you want but would not buy yourself. You should also register at different places so there is more selections for varied incomes, this will increase your gift intake... |
