how about making an album with photos of you and your siblings, from birth to present, with added mementos from past celebrations like b-day parties, weddings, etc.

there are many websites that can help you. Depending on your age, you can adapt any gift for and from any age. You just gotta be creative. You must be if you're looking to make something homemade. Here's a site I found, it's a good start. Good luck!

Give her gift certificates that relieve her of the most tedious and unrewarding activities of motherhood-laundry, cooking, dusting, vacuuming, dish washing, bed making, grocery shopping, meal planning. bathroom cleaning, etc. And in place of those chores offer her thing that pamper her.

I found a little studio near home where you paint pottery. Everything is already made, but you get to paint it however you want. Everything from random little nick-nacks, to figurines, to frames, to plates, bowls and serving dishes. I'm painting a beautiful serving bowl for my mother. I've already spent a few hours on it and it's not quite done yet. I know she'll love it.

perfume sachets for her dresser, flowers you potted (painting the planter adds a nice touch), scrap books, t shirts printed from your printer of the grandkids or favorite pet (You can get transfer sheets at Walmart -easy-computer paper section), homemade card, plants for the garden, framed pictures, etc. These are things I liked over the years.

how about a scrap book of memories. from her babyhood to yours to now. i think that is the best gift you can give her to show her that you truly do love her and are thankful for her.
