|
|
My boss and his girlfriend are having an open house party (but not formally an "open house"). I want to get them a thoughtful but inexpensive gift and know nothing of their decor. Doubtful they need anything. I was thinking about nice wine or martini sets, but they have all that and more. Any ideas?

A gc to Pier One or a bottle of wine would be nice, inexpensive and thoughtful.

Get them a plant or a pretty flowering hanging basket. Also, you can never have too much wine!!!

A bottle of wine is always an easy gift. Add some wine glass charms for a little personalization.

Anything they can actually eat, serve or drink at the party is an ez answer, especially if you take the time to make it yourself.

How about a nice houseplant that doesn't require a lot of maintenance?

A pillar candle, or an assortment of smaller candles, and/or a jar of salsa, some hot sauce, dip or other 'party food' item.

fresh flowers, wine, a nice hard bound coffee table book.there are a lot of things you can get where someone will not know the cost you paid for them.one i really like is pottery, something from a ceramics store like a vase. you could spend under $20 and they will have no idea that it did not cost a lot more! good luck!
