All you have to do is go to a couple of your favorite stores, grab one of those scanners from the customer service desk and zap anything that you'd want for your house. ANYTHING! It's fun, so get to zapping!

This is your wedding so ask for whatever you want- be realistic though.(don't ask for something that you wouldn't be willing to buy for someone else) Go to Wal Mart, Target, Dillard's, etc.. and start there, register for things you need-laundry basket's,hampers, blankets, bedding, dishes, silverware, towels, wash clothes, lamps, end tables etc. You can also ask them in lou of gifts to donate to your favorite charity. Ask for gift cards so you can always get what you both want later.

I didn't have a registry, just was totally thankful for whatever people thought of to give us.

For the shower people usually bring little accent things, like candles etc. or things you may need for your honeymoon or lingerie. Put whatever you want on your registry. Congrats and good luck!

You can really register for anything you want, and it's a good idea to register for items in a wide price range - from the inexpensive to the more costly items, as there are possibly guests that want to go in on a group gift such as a microwave or vacuum cleaner. Certainly organizational items would be appropriate. This is a good article and provides checklists to help give you ideas:http://www.usabride.com/registry/a_begin_registry.html
