I know only certain wines age well, Bordeaux mainly and proper blending is key, I dont know if this wine does though, Robart Mandavi Zinfandel 2001, given as a gift three years ago never tapped in to it so let me know if u do.

The wine should be fine as long as it hasn't been corked however, it won't be doing much aging after it has been bottled. Mandavi mass produces wines that will almost always taste the same year after year.

Try a little sip of it. If it's bad, you will be able to tell right away.

Zins are fun picnic wines, not to be taken too seriously. Pop the cork. It was ready when placed on the market.

It should be o.k. Wines don't age much once they are bottled. Most of the aging takes place in the original kegs.

wine is temperature sensitive as well as it should always be placed on its side if it has a Cork. open it and try a small taste you can always spit it out if it does not taste good
