she may not of liked the gift and thought you might. It was given to her and then it was hers to use or give to you so who cares. If she had given you money someone else gave her would you care. friends are worth more than any mixer so keep it to yourself and keep a friend.

What difference does it make? As long as its not used. If you have the kind of relationship where you can tease her about it go ahead and laugh about it. But not be upset.

Think of it this way- She got a gift that she did not need. She could have returned it to the store, gotten the cash or store credit, used the same cash or credit to buy your gift, and given you a new gift. So really, she jsut cut out the middle man. As long as you didn't buy her the mixer in the first place, you really shouldn't take offense. So it really is up to you whether you say anythng, but she's jsut going to be super embarrassed if you mention it. She knows it's tacky, you don't have to call her out on it.I'm sure you know by now that no one follows the gift registries properly and you end up with a million of one item and none of something else.

My opinion, that is tacky, tacky, tacky. I mean is your "good" friend too cheap to buy a present of her own choice? I would let it go w/o saying anything. She could've at least had the decency to remove the card out of the box. If it offended you in any way, maybe you can jokingly thank her for the mixer and include that you also found her wedding card included in the box.

Oh, please let it go. It will cause major embarrassment!Yes, she is in the wrong for doing such thing, but let it go.Now, if the mixer is $300 or more I'd say return it back and get credit. Those things run $.I had a friend who gave me a Christmas fruit basket (from Thanksgiving mind you) , and half the fruit was rotten with green mold. Did I tell her? No wayyyyy.

Give her the card and say "oh, I thought you might need this" without any emotions, just na'chelant. She gave you a mixer for a WEDDING gift? How awful is that? I hope you meant shower gift.

Let it go. Keep the mixer if you like it or pass it on to a friend who may like the mixer. I'm not saying re gift it, ask around to see who might need it, or give it to good will. I received three crock pots for my wedding, kept two, and gave my neighbor the third one because I know she needed one.
