| It depends on your budget and your relationship to the graduate. A gift card is nice, as it will help in the next stage of the graduate's life. Bed, Bath, and Beyond gift cards are great if the graduate is going off to college. So is something for their dorm room, such as a small, 5-cup coffee maker (which can be had for under $20 and can be used to make hot water for other stuff, like mac and cheese or hot cocoa) or Give what you can. If you're a teenager, give at least $15. If you're an adult, $20 would be better. I disagree about the Dr. Seuss book. I got three copies of it when I graduated. It's very overhyped. If you want to get a cool book that will be helpful in the future, try:Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Collegehttp://www.amazon.com/Worst-Case-Scenario-Survival-Handbook-College/sim/0811842304/2Experts' Guide To 100 Things Everyone Should Know How to Do:http://www.amazon.com/Experts-Guide-Things-Everyone-Should/dp/1400052564/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-7573464-7193460?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1180867084&sr=1-2The Dangerous Book for Boys (if graduate is a boy):http://www.amazon.com/Dangerous-Book-Boys-Conn-Iggulden/dp/0061243582/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-7573464-7193460?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1180867150&sr=1-1 |
