I have never bought a wedding gift before and I am actually accompanying her uncle. They have a 6 month old baby and live in a home which they have already bought. She is 30 yrs old and her and the fiance have lived together since 13 yrs ago. I am not close to her but feel like I should buy a gift. Her uncle never includes me in the gift thing even though my name was on the inviatation. He always writes a check. I feel sort of weird about this. What should I do?

If they have a registry go with that - if not a check - trust me, they are most cherished!

Everyone loves money. Definitely give money - this way you don't have to stress about running out to get a gift either.

My fallback gift for weddings has always been a photo album. It's inexpensive and everyone can use one.

If your not close, something as simple as a picture frame for their wedding memories would be nice, simple, yet still a little personal!

Get them a nice picture frame. You can't go wrong with a picture frame. They could put their wedding picture in it or pictures of the children. Also, it is not too expensive and they look nice.

If know what kind of cars they drive you could check out some new car mats? You can have their names embroidered on them, or just their last name. www.ggbailey.com

You can never go wrong with really nice picture frames. They're getting married and will have tons of pictures of their wedding, so nice frames will be nice!

Since they probably have all their household items you could give them a gift certificate to a nice restaurant, a bottle of wine, picture frame or photo album.

Im in the same situation, but on the other side. I am getting married in less then two weeks, and my fiance and I have lived together and have a child together as well. We don't need anything, so creating a registry was very difficult. I would suggest something new for the home, such as a wall decoration, candles, or perhaps a new set of pillows. You could always get them a gift card for an evening out or a store. You might see if they are taking a honeymoon and donate mo ney for that event. Hope this helps or gives ya some insight.

Are they registered? If not, how about something like Omaha Steaks or a fruit basket, a gift card?
