She has already been married and has a fully furnished house. Does anyone have any good ideas?

If you don't want to just give them money, the ideas above are good. Or how about a sizable gift certificate to a nice restaurant? Or to ticketmaster so they can get tickets to a sporting event, show or concert of their choice?

Honestly for a 2nd marriage, I would would just give a card of best wishes. I am of the mindset that you get gifts for your first marriage only, I think its rude to expect a gift for a second marriage.

I would get them something on their registry, a gift card ,or money. That's the type of things we got at our wedding. Also, remember, that just because she has a fully furnished house doesn't mean she doesn't need new kitchen gadgets! kateqd30>> It's not that people getting married EXPECT a gift, nobody should expect a gift, even at a FIRST wedding... it's that people want to give gifts.

I'd go with an engraved picture frame for their wedding photo. Remember, they are starting NEW memories as a couple together, so something to signify this would be fitting. Maybe a picnic basket with a nice bottle of Champagne, but it depends on how well you know the couple.(For a second marriage, there really shouldn't be a gift registry, as they have a furnished household.)

I think it is tacky to ask for gifts for anything beyond marriage #1.give them a card.

I can't believe people are saying she doesn't get a gift because she's been married before. Wow. That's mean.I'd go with something personalized, like new towels, and beautiful pillow cases. B/c she has stuff from a previous marriage, it'll be special to have things celebrating this union. Also, you could get a beautiful Wilton Armital or Arthur Court serving piece (try Macy's). She may like getting new stuff to replace old.A beautiful frame.Something they don't necessarily need, but that is nice.

Gift cards to the movie theater, restaurant or some other fun "date" activity are always winners. Are they taking a honeymoon? Some sort of gift to go with the destination could be fun. (beach-sun tan lotion, beach towels, under water disposible camera, etc.) Or, if they drink, get margarita mixer & glasses, or whatever her drink of choice is. Otherwise, you can never go wrong with sticking to the registry...if there is one. (I try to avoid cash cause it's less personal, a gift certificate tells them you want them to enjoy the gift not just have some cash...but that's just me!)
