|
|
Ladies,I have three back-to-back weddings to attend this summer. I've already spend a small fortune in plane tickets, new attire, hotel etc.and now it's time to think about the gifts. Brides-to-be: Which items to you really REALLY want from your registry? My budget is $100- 150 per wedding for a gift.Good luckI already know that I can pick something from their registry...the question is What item from your registry you are rooting to get!

Gift certificates. I got a bunch of stuff I didn't want or need (I didn't know it at the time I registered). Then spent a small fortune decorating my new house...

I would prefer cash as to the fact that me and my fiance have been together for 5 years. living together for 4 1/2 of that. So we already have everything we need. So We would prefer cash as to some item we already have 3 of ya know?We registered for a few things and the main thing that we would want on there, would be a microwave .lolGood luck. You could always give them a gift card to a very nice restaurant that they probably wouldnt normally go to because of the price. or just give cash. |

I always believe that the best gift would be and is cash. Most couples can use that on their honey moon or use it towards bills they have incurred.

Gift cards to places like Bed, Bath and Beyond, or Linens and Things. We can get all kinds of various household gifts there, and you don't have to feel the pressure of what a particular item "says" about you.

I would truly prefer the cash so that if the things i did choose for my gift registry were not purchased then i would use the cash to get exactly what i need.

Kitchen Utinsels, Towels, I think things that you would use a lot would be best instead of the decorative stuff we register for.

I'd say anything that the couple registered for. Since I only registered for things that I wanted, I was happy with each gift that came from the registry. There were some people who thought they'd know better what I'd like than I did, so they picked a gift on their own, and almost all of the gifts we received that we didn't register got returned.

Of all the odds and ends on my registry, the only "have to have it" is a gorgeous quilt I found at Bed, Bath and Beyond.I'm sure every couple will have their own die hard items. As for everything else, I think our colors are pretty obvious in our other choices, so as long as people kinda stay within our pinks/blues/browns and oranges scheme, we'll be happy.Another, not so personal gift, is always a giftcard.

A gift card/certificate to a really nice restaurant would be awesome. Or, depending on how well you know the couple- a certificate for a couples massage.

Maybe consider just giving the money in a card. When I got married, within the first week, we were out of money (because of wedding expenses) and scraping up change to eat. We were surrounded by gifts that we thought we needed, but wished someone could have just sent the money instead af 8 can openers.

give gift certificates...easy to carry on a plane and less for the bride and groom to pack up before leaving on their honeymoon. But two things I REALLY REALLY want from my registry are The Scunci Steamer and the Magic Bullet maybe even the Rotisserie.

Its great to get towels and sheets etc, BUT I'm more excited to get that kitchen gadget I wouldnt normally buy for myself. If they dont get the sheets on their registry they'll go out and buy them. But if they dont get that kitchaid mixer, etc they'll probably just live without it. Get them something they wouldnt normally buy for themselves.

Can't go wrong with cash. But if you'd really rather have a gift, just get something off their registry. It's what I would like for my wedding.
