How much to give my good friend for his wedding gift?

I'm 22, and in 2 weeks will be attending my friend's wedding along with my girlfriend. I'm in his wedding party and I've known him since high school. My question is how much is a good gift to give? I want to help him with his bills since they just moved in together and I was thinking that $250 is sufficient? I am also having to spend $200 on a hotel room and $160 on a tuxedo, so I'm not exactly swimming in cash right now....Suggestions please Back to top mistaken4sane Yahoo User Posted: Mon Jun 18, 2007 1:04 pm    Post subject: I think $200 would be more than generous, especially if you aren't wealthy. Honestly, I think $100 (or even $150 if you are bringing a date) might even be enough since I am sure he realizes how much your are spending on the tux and hotel room.Have fun!
