You don't have to if you don't want to. But if it comes out of your heart, do it.

You are not obligated to give a gift, but it would be nice to do so. If she is a good friend then it seem like you'd want to give her something.

I think it is standard procedure that if you don't get an invitation you don't have to get a gift. But, being a good friend you may want to think about something, even if it is small. Perhaps a card and a small gift card or something.

You're not obligated but as a friend it will be nice if you do give her something for that special day.

It would be a nice gesture. Her and her fiance probably could not afford to invite as many people as they would have liked to the wedding, or maybe for other reasons they decided to keep it small. You're not any obligation to give a gift, but if you want to, go for it.

I wouldn't say you are obligated, but if it was my friend I would get them a gift. Considering she came to your wedding and gave you two a gift I would definitely do the same. I'm sure she isn't expecting one from you which is an even better reason to give her a gift....it will be greatly appreciated@!

Not in the least bit obligated but it sounds like you want to and that is totally acceptable. Giver her a small gift at work if you want - it will be very kind of you!

I would say no, since you were not invited. If you ARE good friends tho, you could still give her a card, with a small gift (like a yankee candle) if you wantd to...I'd still give her a card either way to congratulate her on her marriage.

you're not obligated, but as it is your friend, didn't you plan on getting her a gift anyway?

A wedding is a time for celebration. This is your opportunity to tell the bride that you are very happy for her and her upcoming wedding. Just because a wedding invitation wasn't extended to you, doesn't mean you shouldn't share in her joy. Give her a gift and tell her you will be thinking of her one her special day and ask to see the pictures afterwards. Not everyone can have a big wedding and invite everyone they have ever known. Just share in her day the best way you can and it will mean alot to both of you.

The question was "should". The answer is no, you are not obligated. However, this is obviously someone you have known for a long time and it seems like you are still working together. My suggestion is that you give her a gift card to someplace like TARGET. That's enough to show you cared about your relationship and will show you wish her well. A VISA giftcard can be used at any retail store if you don't want to limit her options. But that's a gift that she can use and you will not feel "funny" in the future when you guys get together because you know you did what you thought best.

I would, just because she went to your wedding. I think it would be nice.
