Need to buy a gift for an 8 year old girl. Have no idea what 8 year olds are into. Thanks. She went through the Barbie Doll phase and has a million Bratz dolls and accessories.

If you can find them, a Webkinz stuffed animal would be nice. It is a small stuffed animal that comes with a key code to a kid friendly online world.

Websites like www.target.com, www.walmart.com, and www.toysrus.com have a search option to look for toys based on gender and age. Hope this helps.

you should give her something that will raise her self esteem, which should be a toy that is basically a bit more advanced for her age or can be a simple toy.a pricey toy should be a toy that has become an everyday want, would be a good birthday present, such as a robosapien. a cheap toy, not to be given on her birthday unless you're really desperate, is a yo yo. this will entertain her, and also improve her accuracy and motor skills.remember the better the toy, the more she'll expect from you if she does another excellent thing in the future

I did this for my daughter and she loved it!Go down to your local dollar store here it is "Dollar Tree" Stock up on items like:Makeup brushes, nail care set, lip glosses, eyelash curler, body spray, body glitter, cream eyeshadow in pastel colors, light scented perfumes, bath beads, pastel fingernail polish, etc.... Buy a nice basket and a couple of dollar ballons (helium) you will have made the ultimate pre-teen gift basket. The great thing about doing this at the dollar store is you can put a larger variety into the basket....she will love it! Plus if she is having a sleepover they will all enjoy giving each other make-overs.

Klutz makes an outstanding line of activity, game and exploration books that will ignite the interest of most eight-year-old girls. Best of all, she can use the books with or without her family and friends. You can't predict, but as she grows older and better at making things using the activity books, she might craft a small business selling her wares. I have personally given many Klutz books as gifts and I have bought several others to use in my work as an educator/childcare provider. Here is a list of my favorites:Friendship Bracelets, $14.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2109Bead Rings, $12.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2450The Incredible Clay Book, $19.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2100Origami, $16.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2105The Buck Book, $14.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2107Hemp Bracelets, $16.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2115String Games From Around the World, $12.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/4109Face Painting Book, $19.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/1115The Book of Classic Board Games, $19.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/4103Explorabook, $21.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/3100Body Crayons, $14.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/2650Juggling for the Complete Klutz, $12.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/8100Nail Art, $19.95http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/1130You can find the books at most Barnes & Noble, Borders, Waldenbooks, and B. Dalton booksellers, or you can order the books directly from Klutz.com. I encourage you to browse the site. You're bound to find something that will make a great gift. Good luck! Cheers!
