|
|
| My brother has been invited to a wedding for a co-worker he used to be very close to. He won't be attending the wedding and wants to know if $50 is an appropriate gift to send or if he should send more. I should also mention the groom works part-time under my brother and therefore probably knows how much money he makes.I think $50 is fine considering their relationship but other thoughts would be appriciated! Thanks! Thanks! |

| Sure. That's fine. He may also want to ask where they are registered. Gifts there will range in value and will be a little more personal. He can actually have the gift delivered, if he wishes. Most of the registries are on line now. |

| That is fine...in reality he is under no obligation to offer money if he's not attending. |

| That is a very generous gift. Even if the groom works part time under, alongside, or elbow to elbow, that does not mean he knows how much your brother makes. . . payroll is strictly confidential.Your brother is very generous. |

| The cost of a wedding gift is usually pegged to how much it would cost to feed the guest. Since he won't be attending, $50 is more than enough. |
