|
|
| My husband and I are going to his cousins wedding next month. He is not close with his cousin but we are bringing our one-year old as requested. We are giving them a small Yankee Candle Gift set(12 candles and 2 glass voltives) and two beanie baby stuffed animals (groom and Bride). We are thinking $50 would be okay but are wondering if it is too little. We only make around 28K a year or maybe a little more but not a lot. Should we up it to $75 or $100?The gifts are small and werer not on their registry. The beanie babies were just cute and I thought they would look nice on top of a small gift. We bought the candles at the outlet mall but we thought that it would be a nice small gift. We were afraid money would be too impersonal. |

| I think the gifts plus the $50 is perfectly fine....you should not give more than you can afford and if they are upset about your gift, then they aren't very thankful people. I am getting married in September and I will just be happy that people show up....You should be just fine with that, its the thought that counts! |

| I've combined cash + gifts before. I think the $50 is fine. |

| I think the money makes the gift more than generous. you are already getting them a very nice gift, $50 is a lot of money on top of that. Don't up the cash, you could probably even consider giving less cash, but whatever you are comfortable with. |

| absolutely not. $50 is fine! Believe me, they will get lots of money. $50 was the average amount we got from our guests, plus your giving them other things too. |
