Hi im getting married in 2 weeks and I would really need help of people who have married before. after the meal how do I go about giving out the presents to the ushers, bridemaids pagebboys and flowers to the mums and nanas. I was only 10 when I was a bridesmaidf and I can remember being called out after the meal, but I dont know how to go about it. As I dont have a clue do just stand up and go and get them then give them out or do the hotel staff bring them over to us to give out as Im not too sure what I do.Any information you can give me will be great. You shouldn't give specific gifts in front of the other guests. These gifts for the wedding party and family should be given at the rehearsal dinner the night before.

When we had our rehearsal dinner, we waited til everyone was pretty much finished eating. My hubby & I stood up and made a toast to everyone present, thanking them for all their love & support, and for agreeing to be a part of our big day. We thanked our parents for all they'd done to help us, and let everyone know how much we loved them, and told them we had tokens of appreciation for everyone. Then we passed out the gifts.

At weddings I have been to (I'm a wedding photographer!), the gifts and flowers are usually given out during the grooms speech. He says the name of the person and thanks them and the bride hands the gift over (making it a combined action by the bride and groom as a couple).Enjoy your big day!

at my daughters wedding the gifts and flowers was given to people at the end of the best mans speech ....he asked myself (brides mum) and the grooms mum to come to the little stage that was there ..the bride and groom said a few words to us then best man invited the brides maids then ushers to follow suit the grooms father was best man but if you have fathers and grandparents you can ask the same of them....i hope that is of some help hun, but i don't think there is any hard and fast rules about it ....the gifts and flowers was taken to the hotel the night before and the staff brought them in discreetly ....hope you have a wonderful day hun and the sun shines for you

I would give your gifts at the rehersal dinner. This way you are not taking away from your special day. It will be hectic as it is and this way this is one less thing you have to worry about. As for the flowers you should deffently present them to the mums and nanas before the wedding. Once the reception starts you are going to be busy with pictures, dancing and all the other craziness. I think by doing this all before hand will relieve you of some stress.

When we were married we gave our gifts out after the speeches. They were all gift wrapped apart from flowers. Good luck to you.
