A good gift would be a weekend getaway that the other person is surprised about, but make sure its something the two of you both enjoy.

Paper is the traditional gift for the 1st Anniversary. You could write a poem, give a book or something like that. I think a good book would be '365 different positions for each day of the year' - It's the gift that keeps on giving, lol.

A great idea is making your significant other a personalized Calender. Walgreens.com has great photo gifts. I used their site to customize the calender. for every month I put a picture of us that occured that month in the the previous year...I also included everyone's birthday from his family and mine as well (only close relatives though.) You can also include their photo in their assigned day. Its totally awesome and they have different themes for the calender..I did this for my boyfriend last month and he absolutely loved it! he has it hanging in his living room.

Something thought full. Pack him lunch with a note inside telling him how much you love, make a special dinner and decorate the house, take him to a picnic, or take him the the beach..

A momento from somewhere special you have been together is one good gift. If your partner is into sports then something like a sports jersey of a player on one of his favorite teams or a classic jersey of one of his all time favorite players makes a good gift. Maybe something that reminds you of some special moment you shared. Something that is his favorite, like a special meal, tickets to a concert, sports game, or some event. It really depends on your budget. I know that I enjoy it when my husband surprises me with something I want or have wanted for a while or when he get tickets to a concert he knows I will like. The important thing it to get something that is meaningful to the person you are giving it to. You know your partner best so, just think about what would be special to him.
