The New York Times has really pissed me off. I am a big Harry Potter fan and today, two days before the release of one of the largest publications in history, the NYTimes published spoilers to the seventh Harry Potter Book. The NYT gave the Bush Administration a free pass for a year on the wiretapping scandal, but they couldn't wait until Saturday to release the HP7 spoilers? Reprehensible!I really want to let someone high up at the NYT know that I, and other Potter Fans, are really angry. I demand that the NYT print an apology to JK Rowling personally and to Harrry Potter fans in general.I will send a $75 Amazon gift certificate (best I can afford) to the yahoo email of ANYONE who can get me the personal cell phone number of the Public Editor - Clark Hoyt or someone just as good at the TOP of the NYT food chain.Join other outraged fans at The Leaky Cauldron.com (Google Keyword: Leaky). Or you can flood Mr. Hoyt's public office with phone calls at (212) 556-7652.: D

Did you react like this when you learned of the Wiretapping scandal? Is it possible some things are more important? It's a scam, anyway - none of the spoilers on the internet are true.

Are the spoilers still there? I love spoilers. Hey, just because you knew the freaking boat was going to sink did the keep you from watching Titanic in 1998? I doubt it. Just because you knew the Japanese were going to attack did that keep you from watching the movie Pearl Harbor a few years ago? I doubt it. I just got through re-reading Half-Blood Prince. I want to know what happens to Harry already.

If you google corporate telephone numbers.. you should get a page where you see New York Times (I doubt it will be a CELL phone) but it should be there..

The public editor number that you have in your question is exactly who you should contact if you are upset. It is Clark Hoyt's job to take complaints from readers.Bribing someone for private cell phone numbers will get you nowhere. What do you think you could possibly accomplish that way?
