If he's into stuffed animals... webkinz are really popular now a days and plus there really cool becasue you can play with them onlines. Also baseball cards and wrestler actions figures are popular as well.

I think when my nephews were 11 they were all into science. Can you ask his parents if he's into that? We got things like cool science experiments in a box, books of scientific tricks you can learn and "amaze your friends" and, oh yes, anything that glows in the dark.If you've got a Discovery store near you, try shopping there. Other stores also carry these products.

You could get giftcards, baseball cards, toy cars and trucks, any sort of game like psp or ps2 stuff like that. If he has a game unit you could get a game for it. Movies maybe even music. This is just my idea but if you live in NJ take him to Princeton. This may sound weird but you could see a play or go to the art muesam then out to eat and then head home. Theres so much to do there. I love going to Princeton its so much fun.I'm sure he would love it. I just thought of the crayola factory. But I don't know if hes to old for that or doesn't like it. Plus I don't know where you live. But good luck finding something I hope he likes it a lot!

Here's a few ideas that would be good for any 11-year-old; for more specifics (LEGO, Transformers, etc.) it's best to ask his parents what he's into. Klutz Book of Paper Airplanes: I got this for my cousin and he LOVED it. http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/1145How to be the Best at Everything (The Boys' Book): All sorts of tips--everything from how to solve a math problem to how to get out of quicksand!http://www.amazon.com/How-Best-Everything-Boys-Book/dp/0545016282Nerf Weather Blitz Football--Truly a great football. Easy to clean, easy to grip, no need to pump. http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Nerf-Weather-Blitz-Football/dp/B000AMMY6G/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-9253303-9392603?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1192240186&sr=8-1http://www.amazon.com/Spider%252dMan-Weather-Blitz-Water%252dResistant-Football/dp/B000OMY2NU/ref=sr_1_2/103-9253303-9392603?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1192240205&sr=8-2Nerf N-Strike Disc Shot--Expensive ($50) but SO cool. It's basically skeet shooting, where discs fly out of a base, and the player has to shoot the discs with Nerf darts:http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Nerf-N-Strike-Disk-Shot/dp/B000OKW220TARGET gift card, or a gift card to a place he really likes. Target always has really cute interactive cards. Last year, they had an inflatable Santa gift card; this year, there was one that turned into a Transformer.
