|
|
hey im starting christmas shopping and i dont know what to get for her. sure i could always get a ring or necklace but thats lazy i think. can you guys throw some ideas out there to get those gears in my head spinning. no idea is stupid we are both 22 she is still in college about to graduate in may and i already graduated and have a great job so money is not that big an issue. i need something romantic. please help. thank you!ok getting away is a very good idea but not possible im an auditor and i cannot take vacations around that time company policy.she is an english major. will be going for her masters in education. wants to be a teacher. loves to read so yeah the book is a good idea but im not sure if she will consider that romantic but hey im not really into books...she wants to go to the opera but i looked already at ticketmaster and there is nothing this year. maybe ill try again. we live in NY about 30 mins away from NYC. so a romantic dinner and then opera would be a perfect night.

Maybe get a trip for the both of you to go on. Let her get papmpered. Massages, mani/pedicure, hair. All that good stuff. She would love that I'm sure. Go somewhere warm to get away from the winter. Tropics baby!!

Make sure its something she wants. Anything else, no matter how expensive or beautiful won't do it as well. What is she in to? Once you know what she likes you can go about looking for it. Perhaps she really likes a certain author, so perhaps you can go on ebay or amazon.com to look for an autographed copy of their book etc.

I'm not so sure that any jewelry item would show "lazy", women love jewelry!! You could always make her a beautiful basket with all the soaps, lotions and perfumes she likes, including beautiful candles. A nice day spa certificate might be nice.....what is her major?? Maybe something that would help her after graduation with her chosen profession. Where do you live? Tickets to her favorite sports activity....tickets to a show or musical.....Hope this has helped you some. Also, you should be congratulated for your intense consideration and the thought you are putting into this.....just stay that way, so many men do this in the beginning and as the years go by forget how to be loving and considerate. My hat goes off to you!!

Go get a basket with 2 round trip tickets to a nice weekend getaway, a bottle of champaign, two pretty glasses, some grapes, body oil, bubble bath, nice romantic movie, let your mind go wild, but the big thing is have fun!!! On your weekend getaway book a nice play, or then go to your romantic dinner, go to a place the two of you talked about seeing, a big city, a vegas fun weekend. Good Luck, whatever you do that involves her and her feelings will be the best gift you could give!!!

When I think "romantic", I think something meaningful you can both do TOGETHER.--Do you have an observatory nearby? Maybe you can go up and look through a telescope at the galaxies above ...--Or maybe a play, since she is an English major. If you live near NYC, you've gotta have TONS of options. --Maybe a nice stroll through central park, and then surprise her by taking her on a horse and carriage ride -- some people think that's corny, but I think it's romantic and classic!--Maybe you can take her to a poetry reading in a funky cafe, and then treat her to dinner, or something. --Not sure what else because I don't know you guys. Maybe you could get a tree, and then invite her over to help you decorate it. You could heat up hot chocolate, and then cozy up and enjoy the tree together. If you live with your family, do it in your room, or basement, or something. Go based on both your interests - but remember, the point is to do something that will bring you closer TOGETHER.

I think a night going to a nice restaurant and seeing something like Phantom Of the Opera would be wonderful! The Marriott is a beautiful hotel....some strawberries in a fine Champagne or even chocolate dipped fruit is also nice (delicious, too!) I do however feel every woman loves a piece of jewelery....it lasts forever! It is unfortunate that Josh Groban will not be in town, we all love him! If I come up with any other ideas or my friends do, I will let you know.I am amazed you are shopping all ready....yeaks, guess time is passing quickly!!!!

Jewerly is always terrific for any occassion. It is not lame or lazy....it's a wonderful way to start a "collection" while you are both young that you can add to continually. When I was your age....my mother said something that has stuck with me & my husband always and we have certainly passed this onto our two sons:"Get your jewerly while you are young & able to enjoy it all your life....do not wait until you are old & gray. Buy it together & enjoy it in love! It will hold meaning for a lifetime!"Enjoy & many blessings, Patti
