im on a limited christmas budget but i work for a machine shop that gets massive discounts on tools and such from places like nelson and storm and j&l. our work will payroll deduct anything we order which is pretty neat. my boyfriend is a car guy and we moved into together about a year ago. he has a garage that he has started stocking with tools and things to work on his car. he has a big stand up tool box and he has started buying tools and things to work on his cars. my question is what kinds of tools do car guys use most often? or what are things he might already have that i could replace with better quality things? i could use any help or feed back on things i could get him for christmas. thanks:) if u can think of anything that might not be a tool even, please help..

I just asked my husband and he says a jack is most important. An air tank, razor bar and socket set will also be very helpful.

My son is a Mechanic, and last year he wanted a "DogBone" Creeper for rolling and working under vehicles! He's a pretty big guy, about 6 ft tall....anyway, I bought him the best one I could find. I went on-line and got the best for about what I could have bought the less expensive one out of the magazine he brought to show it to me.....anyway it is shaped like a "DogBone" and his boss is always trying to steal it from him! He really likes it! I think I paid about $129 for it and got free shipping! It came in a big Box and wrapping it was a bitch, but I'm glad I got it for him...he uses it every day, and also can use it in the field! Good Luck! I know what you are going thru! I also always try to find him a new "gadget" every year...I'm a sucker for "Gadgets" and every year they seem to come out with a new "tool" gadget! Merry Christmas!
