| A good friend of mine asked me to be god mother to her baby recently, I was so honored and I want to be involved in everything with the baby shower, and the birth. Her shower is saturday and I have made the baskets to give out as gifts, I am making 100 blue cupcakes, swedish meat balls and 200 pigs in a blanket and I am printing out 100 word searches for a party game. I am also going to set up, and I have taken her tons of gifts for the baby already. The thing is, I am pretty much broke ( someone stole a bunch of money from me recently) and I don't have much money to get her an actual shower gift. Is what I have done enough, or should I bring a gift also? I don't want to seem rude to her family or other friends. She wouldn't care, she is so thankful that I have done "so much already" as she puts it. |

| You have done so much already that you shouldn't worry about not taking a gift. She is very lucky to have a friend like you. |

| You could get an inexpensive photo album the A4 type and design a 'family tree' on the computer and print it out for the first page or forget the album and print out every page from family tree - birth (where/weight/length etc) up to first birthday leaving space to add photos later. |

| If you were my friend I would be thankful also. I'm 27 weeks pregnant and my friend is also so involve in my baby shower. She sounds like you. I'm not expecting nothing more or nothing less from her because I'm so grateful for what she's done. And you are the god mother don't have to bring a gift to the baby shower because god mommy do for the child thru all year around. Think about it you are going to be spending money on your god child for a long time to come. Your a great friend. and you'll make an excellent god mother. |
