Ok, I've got $50 to spendI need to buy a present for a very introverted, middle aged man who had very few interest or hobbies. I don't want to get a gift voucher / store card or anything like that.He has few discernible interests and I know that he is not much of a reader or a wine appreciater / foodie, etc.Any spiffing ideas?

Everyone likes music, why not find out what his faves are and get him concert tickets or something special that has to do with that? Something autographed maybe?

didnt you ask this last year?Ok here is what you need to do Buy him vouchers for the king tuts put put on the coast or perhaps a voucher for the bungy bullet.Personally I think the bungy bullet is the trick, now if he doesnt use it he will need to have a freind who can- this may make him move outside his comfort zone and find more friends from another social circle to find someone to give it to....lol actually I think that perhaps a gift of home made cookies might be more appropriate... double choc chip if you can manage it.

A very introverted, middle aged man? How about a tie? Isn't that the default gift for all men? I know you can buy a really nice one for $50.00.

Sounds like my husband. Any hobbies at all? If so I'd recommend a magazine subscription. You said he isn't much of a reader - that would not require lots of reading - just short articles and pictures. How about music? CD's and DVD's are always welcome. Is he a veteran? If so, what branch of the military? You can go to an Army surplus store and get a wide range of things, even if he isn't a vet, but is just a patriotic guy. I've found a lot of neat stuff there. My husband also likes those hand held games like poker, pool, etc. Good luck!

I would suggest a weather station which can be hung on the wall inside his house. these items really dress up the place and even if he is not interested in it at the time you first give it to him he will soon acquire an interest. The weather station usually comprises a thermometer, hygrometer and barometer. You should be able to pick up one for about $50 from somewhere like K-mart.

Pretty tough one uh!!? He doesn't seem to like anything...... so I guess a tie would have to do: a very nice and conservative (i.e. not with bright or funny or huge patterns) silk tie should do.

i think if you have a photograph of his wife and himself then you can frame it and gift that will be the most wonder full gift for if you dont have that then a idol of his god would be perfect. regardspreety

A tie is always the default gift and I'll bet he has enough of them. You might go for a wallet or money clip since he's obviously not spending money frivolously. A simple pocket knife would also work, or if he's a smoker, a pipe tool or cigar clip. Embroidered handkerchiefs are also something that might be more suited to his taste.
