| I've seen her drinking white wine and I believe chardonney. But as I've said I know absolutely nothing about wine, I'm a hard liquor person.I'd just like to keep it under $100 |

| Please don't be intimidated by pricing. Sometimes the cheapest wine is the best tasting. Conversely, sometimes the expensive ones suck. It's a matter of personal preference. I'd suggest a combination of a rich Merlot, crisp chardonnay, subtle Gewurztraminer and whatever you feel is cool. You couldn't go wrong blindfolded in a decent wine shop.If you have a Trader Joe's in your area, they are great at recommendations. Also, talk to friends and get some of their input.You may wish to include some nice cheeses, fresh fruit and crackers. Okay, so I'm half French, but hey!What a wonderful friend you are. I hope to God that they reciprocate. |

| How about a gift certificate from a really nice wine shop!Put it in a gift basket if that makes you feel better.Bet your friend would like the certificate better! |

| Well that limits your choice to about 5,000 wines. Seriously though, you need to know whether she is picky about her wines as in flavor or whether she just likes the feeling that wine does for her. If its the first, you will want to buy a nice Chardonay or Puligny Montrachet and have it ice cold. It's important the wine is cold, approximately 42 degrees and it is presented in a gift wrap of her favorite color with a bow! (i.e. anything creative or tasteful will work; it shows extra thought vs. a brown bag). If you need a nice Chardonay, I can give you about 20 with different price ranges.If she is not an oenophile, you can get a respectable Chardonay and look for the uniqueness of the design of the bottle or even its label.
