There is One thing I do not understand is why do you have a symbol of the Moon on your temples. I was thinking maybe that is what the pagans worshipped before the moon god and so now you have it also.

Are you for or against the Islamic religion? It's hard to tell.And it looks as though the main character in your little story is so arrogant and discriminatory against other religions that it's quite depressing.

Thank you! Although my knowledge of Islam is limited, I have some knowledge. This story raised a question in my mind that isn't really important, but if you could answer I will truly be grateful. In Islam, is there an equivalent or similar system to nuns and abbeys? Christians and Buddhists have nuns, but I'm ignorant about this in Western religions, i.e. Islam and Judaism.

Sorry, I'm not buying it.1. No judge would tell a mother she couldn't have custody of her children based on her religion. Islam was pretty much unknown at that time. It didn't have any kind of reputation, other than being a mystery.2. While some people who claim to be Christians go out drinking every weekend, they are violating the Bible to do so. Drinking to drunkenness is a sin.I hear these sob stories...and I think to myself, "Right. Well, what about the Muslim woman in Malaysia who married a Hindu man, and was accused of being an apostate? She's now in a rehabilitation center (to become a Muslim again), and not allowed to see her husband or her young daughter."THIS is the "religion of PEACE?" I don't think so. If someone converts to Islam, nothing happens to them.They certainly aren't banned from seeing their children, and they aren't sent to rehabilitation centers.Give me a break.

ok first of all the moon is there because Muslims have a lunar calendar..second of all, the person who put the 4 shapes of the earth....ITS CALLED METAPHORS!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ THE VERSE AND UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT“And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out).” [Al-Qur’an 71:19]But the sentence in the above verse is not complete. It continues in the next verse, explaining the previous verse. It says:“That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.” [Al-Qur’an 71:20]ITS CALLED A METAPHOR/SIMILE IN THIS CASE!!!!!!!! the earth is spread out LIKE a carpet so you can explore it!!!!!!!WHY DONT YOU READ THIS VERSE ALSO??Hast thou not seen how Allah causeth the night to pass into the day and causeth the day to pass into the night, and hath subdued the sun and the moon (to do their work), each running unto an appointed term; and that Allah is Informed of what ye do?--sura 55, verse 5:"The sun and moon (are subjected) to calculations."YEAH THIS IS TALKING ABOUT THE ORBIT OF THE SUN AND THE MOON..AND YES THE SUN DOES ORBIT THE CENTER OF THE MILKY WAY JUST LETTIN YOU KNOW BEFORE YOU START ARGUING ABOUT THAT--sura 14, verse 33:"For you (God) subjected the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses. And for you He subjected the night and the day."--sura 21, verse 33:"(God is) the One Who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Each one is travelling in an orbit with its own motion."--sura 36, verse 40:"The sun must not catch up the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. Each one is travelling in an orbit with its own motion."i rest my case....Next time you make some senseless argument that you copy paste off of a stupid web page, at least think about itOh yeah i cant wait for the thumbs downs! Honey , I am shocked that if you have all of these college classes and you were unable to find any errors in the koran? This entire story tells me how the Devil split up you from your family and took away everything you loved. God Hates divorce, and my God would NEVER deceive a husband into believing that his wife was having an affair, my God would never expect or ask the mother to abandend the children that he gave to her to love and care for, God puts families together, not tear them apart! Have you forgotten the part in the Bible that says that the Devil roams all over the earth seeking whom he may devour? It looks like he devoured you! I am amazed that you believe that you can earn your way into heaven! You have just committed the only sin that will keep you out of Heaven and that is you have chosen to deny the ONLY SON OF GOD! I have done my research on the Muslim religion and let me help you out since you have done such a lousey job of checking this out for yourself and your family. You did not protect your family or your children!!! You threw them to the devil because that is who you are following right now! You have no one to pay the price for your sins, and you have committed plenty of them just by the story that you have told, tells me that you need a Savior, because your sins are so big you could never pay for them yourself. Let me help you to understand how the muslim religion got started. Rome dominated much of the middle East when Christ was Born. By A.D. 395 however, the Roman Empire had become too large for one ruler to govern and was divided into East and West. The Byzantine Empire or Eastern Roman Empire, controlled parts of the Middle East for over a thousand years from its capital at Byzantium or Constantinople in European Turkey. Byzantium, however was increasingly threatened after A.S. 600 by the rise of a Fanitical , Militant New Religion in the Arabian Peninsula---- Islam. Islam sprang from the fervid imagination of Muhammad , 570-632 , an Arab Mystic from the city of Mecca. Aspiring to religious and political leadership amoung his own people, the Bedouin tribesmen of Arabia, Muhammad combined elements of a corrupted Judaism and a distorted Christianity in a legalistic religion that looked to him as its ultimate authority. The self-proclaimed prophet quickly attracted a throng of devoted followers, known as Muslims. Under persecution from the authroities in Mecca , Muhammad , his family, and his followers were forced to flee in 622 to Medina in what is known as teh Hegira or the flight. This date became year one in the Muslim calendar. In Medina, Muhammad's following grew, soon the Muslims were able to conquer Mecca and begin their conquest of the middle East, In the 600's and 700's the Muslims swept out of the Arabian Peninsula and over ran the Middle East and North Africa through a series of Jihads, or Holy wars. Muhammad's successors the caliphs ruled much of the Middle East and notrh Africa from magnificent capitals at Damascus in modern Syria. Baghdad in modern Iraq and later at Cairo in Modern Egypt. Through out most of the Middle Ages Fierce tribesmen from Central Asia and Mongols and the Turks, eventually engulfed the middle East in the late Middle Ages and Brought the Arab Empire to an inglorious end. According to islam, either a burning ingerno or a sensual paradise awaits man after his death. Salvation is attained by man's own efforts to keep the rules of the Koran , Chief among these rules is reciting prayers five times daily, reciting the creed, there is no god like allah and muhammad is the pro;het at least 125,000 times during a lifetime, almsgiving , fasting from sunrise to sundown,during the holy month of Ramadan and making at least one pilgrimage to Mecca. Now are you going to tell me that you actually believe this over Jesus Christ? The crazy guy took parts of Judiasm and Christianity and turned it into his own religion and they abused people that did not conform to his way of thinking. You are now telling me that you are so powerful that you can pay for you own sins? I think that you are so sadly mistaken and I will pray for your soul. The bible says if you have your hand to the plow and then leave it you are not fit for the kingdom of God, but I don't think that you were ever a real Christian if you were sitting in the bars getting drunk and It sounds to me like you never knew what the bible ever said, or that Jesus paid a price for your soul so you would not have to perish, but you think that you can save yourself better than the Son of God can do for you??? I think that you need to see a doctor because you have lost your mind. There is nothing in your story that says that you are normal, everything tells me that you are mentally ill. I would advise that you get medical help quickly. Before you destroy any more of your life. I will pray for you and your family. Your poor husband and Children!!!!! Look at the big sins that you have done. Shame!!!!!

Didn't read whole story, waaay toooo long. However I have heard the testimonies of those who have converted from Islam to Christianity, those raised in the Islam faith whose family members have traveled to Mecca the required number of times; so I believe these people are experts. Does the woman in question read Arabic? Per the experts I have heard speak it is forbidden in the Koran (English spelling since I can't remember the other spelling) to translate the Koran into any language other than Arabic, so if she does not read Arabic she could not have read an authorized version of the Koran. A follower of Islam can also make a contract with a non-follower and it is ethical within his religion to breach that contract. These are things that are not told to us by the main-stream Muslims. I am sure there are many others. Some of these experts converted to Christianity by reading the Bible to prove it false...sound familiar.I do not believe the woman in question was truly a Christian, if she had a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ she would not have converted. Many Christians believe drinking is wrong and therefore abstain, most Southern Baptist preachers teach against drinking of alcoholic beverages; however the Bible does say all things in moderation. It is wrong to drink to drunkenness.
