|
|
| I'm going to a baby shower for a good friends cousin that I've known for a long time but it's kind of last minute so I don't really have a gift. I'm making a baby blanket for another friend as a surprise but that baby's not due yet so I'm going to give it to the cousin for her baby shower. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks this is a good gift. My friend agrees with me that not many people crochet anymore so it'd be a good gift but I'd like other opinions too.If you were the mom to be would you like to receive a homemade baby blanket even if it's not on your registery. She has them listed but without time or money I don't have to buy it I don't just want to go empty handed. |

| Yes, its a great gift! I just threw a baby shower for my sister last month and the she received a crocheted baby blanket as a gift and it is the one gift she was most amazed over. You can never go wrong with blankets. Trust me...its a great gift! |

| I have a blanket that my husband's cousin made me for my shower, and I LOVE it! Those types of gifts are great! They are the kind that you hold on to. |

| Personally I think its a good gift..... I would be happy with it, but who knows I am odd so it could just be me. I think its okay and you should give her it. Do what you think is best. Good Luck |

I'm a mom of 3, had baby showers for 2, and with the last one I did receive a lot of blankets, and you can never have enough, I think it's a great idea, and its even greater and unique because you're making it yourself, more power to you if you can do that. I did receive a blanket from my best friend that she and her mom made together, what a wonderful gift, I loved it because no one else will have the same blanket as I do when I go to the park or the store. Hope this helps! |

| I think it's a wonderful idea. Some of my favorite gifts weren't on my registry like the blanket my daughter is snuggled up in right now. |

| I believe that she will truly cherish your gift. I would certainly be thrilled to have it. "Homemade is best because it's made with love." |

| With a single exception, everybody who has received an afghan from me has loved it and used it. The exception was a relative who has an attitude about 'homemade' stuff.Registries are just suggestions and almost everybody can use a baby afghan. |
