|
|
| I'm 25 and I've been dating this guy who's in his 30s for about 3-4 months now. It's Christmastime and I'm at a lose as to what to get him. I thought of cologne, but he'd only wear it w/ me since he doesn't wear it often. He has enough watches, he's not too tech-savvy, and I wanted to do something different than DVDs or a sweater. He's a big guy and I'm kinda short and I affectionately call him my "teddy bear". So I'm flirting with the idea of getting him a personalized teddy bear from Build-a-Bear and since he's a Chicago sports fan, have the bear dressed in either White Sox or Chicago Bears garb. I mean, it has sentimental value and a bit of his own personality with the sports stuff. I'm just not sure if a grown-ass man would like something like that or if a teddy bear would be too juvenile a gift.Feedback or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| I don't think I would get that....I think he would like a candle light dinner with you and maybe buy yourself (for him) a "little" nighty or something like that instead of a teddy bear for a grown man.....You may just lose the guy.... |

| Edible lingerie you could wear for him would be a great gift for a middle aged guy. the teddy bear seems a little over the top. Something to boost his ego around his mates always works. |

| I highly doubt he'll like a teddy bear, even if it is personalized. That would be really embarrassing for his friends to see it. I would instead go with a gift that you know he'll like and use and not be ashamed of. Maybe it can be an embroidered men's handkerchief that says ' teddy's tissue' or something like that. Or a framed poster of his favorite sports team - tastefully done. There's nothing wrong with a cd, dvd, wallet, clothing, card, etc, when you're in the beginning of a relationship. You don't want to come on too strong with an extravagant gift. |

| I'm afraid it is a possibly stupid Christmas gift. I think many women give men what they themselves would like. I don't think any self-respecting guy would like a teddy bear, but then I could be wrong. What's he getting you? Maybe gauge it off of that. |

| I think that that'd be a very sweet gift. I bet he'd sleep with it! |
